Camellia is a free soul held captive by her words. Perhaps the golden cage made of skewed alphabets tastes sweet offers a bed of dulcet dreams. Maybe it is a window made of stainless steel, an escape for a heart so afraid of rust. She resides in the midwestern part of the United States of America, but her pen travels worldwide. Pieces of her soul, her poems, have been featured in the following precious and prestigious anthologies: “Petals of Haiku: An Anthology”, “Hidden in Childhood A Poetry Anthology”, and “Wounds I Healed the Poetry of Strong Women”. In the ever-changing landscape of the war between words and worlds, she has sharpened her ink and published her poetry book on Amazon – “The Prototype of Rebirth”. Beyond poetry, she has an MBA in Marketing, enjoys singing, and dreams of modeling. Today, I won’t think like myself or you…
Today, I am the monster
Whose psyche makes Freud weep…
I think and I think,
But I can’t succumb to the pleasure
Of making rainclouds bleed
By stealing a woman’s thunder…
Today, I hurl my mind down the stairs
But I still can’t think…

Linear Equation

The stairs were linear
But I grew exponentially!
I am a phenomenon,
I found myself in Cubism…
I am a theorem,
Standing out in the hidden lines of
Philosophy and rhetorical questions…
Reasoning left behind,
I course inversely to logic…
Abstract addition of emotions,
I run free!
