About Literary Revelations

Where Artistry is the Only Standard

Literary Revelations is an award-winning independent publishing house dedicated to the preservation and promotion of high-art literature. Founded in 2023 by the acclaimed poet and editor Gabriela Marie Milton, the press was born from a radical vision: to create a sanctuary for voices that prioritize aesthetic precision, intellectual depth, and timeless beauty.

We believe that a book is not merely a product, but a cultural artifact. Our mission is to bridge the gap between contemporary expression and classical excellence.

Institutional Prestige & Global Legacy

Unlike traditional independent presses, Literary Revelations has achieved rare archival recognition from world-renowned cultural institutions. Our commitment to the craft has placed our publications within the permanent historical record:

• The Museum of Haiku Literature (Tokyo): Our edited anthologies, including Petals of Haiku and Tranquility, are held in the museum’s permanent archives.

• Rinsenji Temple (Japan): In a historic honor, Petals of Haiku is permanently housed in the temple’s Treasure House, recognizing the spiritual and artistic weight of our curated works.

A Record of Excellence

Our dedication to “Artistic Excellence” has been consistently recognized by major industry bodies and international news outlets:

• Best Publisher in the USA (2025): Awarded by Best of Best Review.

• Evergreen Award: Recognized as the Best Poetry Publisher in the US (2025).

• Artistic Excellence Distinction: Awarded by Bizweekly for our rigorous editorial standards and global impact.

Our milestones have been chronicled by major media networks, including ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX, and featured in prestigious publications such as ArtistHighlights, New York Glamour Magazine, and International Business Times.

Our Editorial Vision

Led by Editor-in-Chief Gabriela Marie Milton—a Pushcart Prize nominee and three-time #1 Amazon bestselling author—Literary Revelations operates with a “quality-first” philosophy. We curate a diverse range of genres, from the minimalist power of Haiku and Tanka to the expansive depth of poetic prose and philosophical essays.

Our anthologies have featured voices of immense caliber, including Nobel Prize-nominated writers and contributors whose work has appeared in NPR, the BBC, and The New York Times.

The Literary Revelations Community

We are more than a publisher; we are a global movement. With works translated into multiple languages and a presence that spans from the United States to the Mediterranean and the Far East, we foster a community where:

• Strong Voices are amplified (as seen in our Wounds I Healed series).

• Cultural Heritage is preserved through cinematic and literary reportage.

• New Masterpieces are nurtured through a rigorous, professional editorial process.

Our Mission

Literary Revelations features emerging and established authors of poetry and fiction.

We publish most poetry genres: epic, lyric, narrative, or prose poetry.  We expect work that dazzles the intellect, and delights the soul; work that makes feelings blossom into symphonies of love, beauty, and sorrow. Interpret the silence. Find the place where love was born, and tears are entombed. Be the voice of prophets. Be the soft whisper of Sakura.

Dream, create, suggest. Avoid cliches. Avoid the banal and the explicit, even if both have become trendy.  Remember “To define is to kill. To suggest is to create.” (Stéphane Mallarmé).

We also publish fiction such as mystery, romance, fantasy, and other types. We do not publish erotica.

Remember a novel is not the mere act of outlining one thing after another. We do not look for tables of contents. We want you to love, and to suffer, with your characters.  We want you to remember the importance of the landscape, and to look over your shoulder where the unknown lies.  Embrace it. Remember what Jorge Luis Borges said: “When writers die they become books, which is, after all, not too bad an incarnation.”

Make sure you get everything right.
