Literary Revelations Journal is thrilled to bring you the wonderful art of Ezokuma & a splendid collaboration with our most beloved Hikari – an award winning Japanese artist – who created the art for Full Moon Confessions by Tracey Anne (Literary Revelations, 2024) and Petals of Haiku: An Anthology (Literary Revelations, 2024), and collaborated multiple times with our Journal. Ezokuma bio:

Ezokuma (F.kuma) was born in Hokkaido, Japan. Currently he resides in Hyogo Prefecture.

The artist in his own words: “I’ve loved drawing ever since I could remember. In school I was always doodling. I did not show my designs to anyone. I drew only for my own satisfaction. After entering the work force I stop drawing for a while, yet a turning point arrived when I drew a picture for an acquaintance who was so moved by my art that my passion for drawing was revived. I have a strong interest in Japanese traditions and history, so lately I’ve been exploring ways to express my own identity through drawing.“

Ezokuma (F.kuma)‘s work was exhibited in Tokyo, Ginza, and Yokohama.

A collaboration with Hikari: One-on-one combat at the Battle of Kawanakajima (1561) based on the legendary battle of Kawanakajima. Dedicated to the Tenkyu-ji temple near Kawanakajima.

The Battles of Kawanakajima became one of “the most cherished tales in Japanese military history”, the epitome of Japanese chivalry and romance, mentioned in epic literature, paintings, woodblock prints, and movies.*
