Monday Feature – Dave Klivans – Haiku – Haiga

Bio

Dave Klivans is a haiku poet, artist, and peace/love/joy enthusiast/promoter living in San Diego, CA. Dave started listening to stories in his Mom’s womb and grew up a lover of all things art and writing. An avid reader, Dave graduated early from Emory University in December 2001. After a 20-year career in real estate investing, Dave returned to his passion for good poetry upon the suggestion of a Creative Coach. Dave was instructed to write and create for himself (to stimulate the right brain, after all, of all that number-crunching). However, the project soon took on a life of its own, leading to the creation of a website/business called Haikoodles (haikoodles.com), founded by CEO Bryant Hill of Austin, TX. Haikoodles was born of Dave’s passion for making art and his innate desire to share his writings with the world. With themes of peace and nature, Dave creates out of everyday inspiration, transforming the mundane into the beautiful in the name of spreading happiness throughout the Universe. With pens and markers strapped to his hands, Dave continues to create Haikoodles all the time, and Bryant disseminates them (for which Dave is very thankful and appreciative). Dave lives with his wife and kids, as well as two dogs, in a place with excellent weather.
