Bio

Brooke Johnpier is a student at St. Bonaventure University majoring in sports media with a goal to become a full-time motorsports/automotive journalist. When she’s not writing, you can find her curled up with a good book, playing video games, listening to music, or shooting her bow and arrow on her 50-acre farm.

A Perfect Sunday

The black smoke pommeled across the sky, making the world dreary. It was a shame though, because the beautiful mountainous desert landscape was being desecrated by the pollution. And it was all because one man decided it would be funny to burn tires in a semi-circle.

The man, Jerry, was a little bit fucked-up in the head. The things he found amusing made other people shudder. Such as the feel of fresh, warm blood on his hands, or the scream of a newborn baby in pain. He loved weird things that most people would consider sadistic.

Because of this, Jerry got the urge to go steal some used tires from a tire shop, go to a part of I-15 that didn’t get a lot of traffic, arrange said tires in a semi-circle, douse them in E-85 gasoline, throw a match on them, and then set up a camping chair with a yellow, blue, and white umbrella hooked to it directly in the center of the circle one day. To him, this was entertainment. To him that was satisfaction. To him this was pleasure.

The smell of the burning rubber, the sounds of the flames crackling, and the view of nature being violated for his own benefit turned him on in a way that no-one, and nothing, should be.

Jerry had a hard-on from the smells and sights of horror, and he relished in the euphoria as the sun baked on the asphalt in front of him, creating a mirage of death to add to the scene. In front of Jerry, people were burning up in the flames, screaming for mercy, only to have their screams quelled as their vocal cords were melted into pink liquid.

The faint sound of wailing sirens brought Jerry back to reality, and he smiled. Time to go, he thought.

Jerry picked up his chair, folded up the umbrella, and ran away into the desolate landscape.
