Happy Saturday and More News from Literary Revelations

Literary Revelations wishes you and your family a Happy Saturday.

We are thrilled to let you know that Building Sandcastles: A Book of Short Poems by C.X. Turner and James Welsh – 8 days after its launch – is still a #1 bestseller in the UK. It is not only a bestseller in Hot New Releases. It is #1 in all published haiku poetry books.

Both authors are under a pen name. We could not publicize the book the way others can. And yet we reached the sky. That’s because of those who recognize talent no matter what. That’s because of those of you who love great poetry. That’s because of those who love quality. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is the kind of readership we want.

Roberta Beach Jacobson Editor, Cold Moon Journal and Five Fleas (Itchy Poetry) tells us: β€œBuilding Sandcastles: A Book of Short Poems, the stunning new collection by C.X. Turner and James Welsh, is a must-have for your shelves. These thought-provoking haiku and senryu left me breathless.”

  1. It’s been my pleasure to interact a little with C.X. Turner and James Welsh on Twitter since I blogged a review of ‘Building Sandcastles’ and posted it on Amazon – my first review of poetry for quite a while – and the first book of poetry I’ve re-read multiples times – I like these authors – I like their style – their way with words – their short poetry simply works for me!

    1. Eric, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help and your beautiful review. I am deeply grateful to you. We do not ask for reviews at all – we do not want to put pressure on anyone. That makes getting them an absolute joy! We are so thankful for them. And indeed Luci and James do not only write wonderful poetry but they are wonderful people too. It’s a pleasure to interact with them. The poetry community on Twitter/X struggles and yet it helped us so much. It came through for us.

When are you going to go back to the hat?

      1. Ah, the hat – I think I mentioned its been relegated to gardening duties – and I keep losing them too! I too struggle nowadays with Twitter/X but can see it works for you and Literary Revelations – all the best to you, Luci and James for continued success with ‘Building Sandcastles.’

      2. You did mention that Eric. But then you may still have the picture πŸ™‚
I used to struggle too before I got the blue. I still struggle somewhat. The community is scattered. We will see what the future brings. Take care Eric. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thank you again for the kind wishes.

  2. I have just finished reading the C.X. Turner & James Welsh gorgeous book of short poems: Building Sandcastles. Using language that paints clouds, oceans, butterflies, and our blue melancholic souls in a beautiful light, they capture heartfelt melancholy as we sandcastle our lives together.

    “The day slowly fades
    yet light’s song
    echoes on the clouds”

A metaphor for our lives as time embraces the songs we sing and light echoes the changes we undergo.

    1. Robert, thank you from the bottom of my heart for those beautiful words and review. The book is fantastic and I am grateful for the help and the love that came to us. I am tired, just got back from research trip, but beautiful words always make me happy. Thank you again Robert. Enjoy the rest of your day.

      1. Very happy that you are home safe, dear Gabriela. It’s going to be a wild weekend here in the Sonoran Desert, as they are forecasting 4-6 inches of rain. My review is *still* not live on Amazon, so I’m watching it closely…All of my other reviews get posted quickly, so we’ll see…

    1. Thank you so much Cassa. That is so kind of you to say. I will let the authors know.
Oh, hon, I am sure poetry will live forever. I am not sure what “dead” means here but according to the latest data poetry sales are slightly down. Unfortunately. Let’s hope they will go up!

Congratulations to you too! Sending huge hugs.

  3. What wonderful news! This book does sound stunning and the accolades and success are well deserved. Congrats to Literary Revelations and to the authors for a stellar read.

  4. Such happy news and so much Congratulations on such a wonderful testament to great authors, a great publisher and poetry at its peak! Bask in your glory! πŸ‘πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ‘
